Cultivation method:
Choose a location in full sun with well-drained soil. Sow seeds directly on the surface in late May, once the soil has warmed. Cover the seeds lightly and keep the soil moist during germination, which occurs in 5 to 10 days. Once the plants are 3 inches (7.5 cm), space them 10 to 14 inches (25 to 35 cm) apart, depending on the size of the variety.
For earlier flowering, start indoors in mid-March in peat or Jiffy 7's pots, 6mm deep. Maintain a temperature of 22°C during germination and reduce to 15°C after emergence. Transplant to the garden after the last frost.
