Plant height : 15 cm
Quantity per pack : Approx 50 seeds (100-200 seeds/gram)
Companion plants : Lobelia, alyssum, petunias
Enemy plants : Cold or wet soil conditions
Suggested Uses : Containers, Edging, Rock Gardens
Plant Type : Annual
Cultivation method:
Sow directly in the garden in late May, when the soil is well warmed. Select a sunny site with well-drained soil. Cover the seeds lightly with soil and water moderately. Germination occurs in 5 to 10 days. When the plants are 3 inches (7.5 cm), space them 10 inches (25 cm) apart to encourage better flowering and stronger plants.
For earlier flowering, start indoors in mid-March in peat pots or Jiffy 7's at a depth of 6mm. Maintain a temperature of 22°C for germination, then reduce to 15°C until hardening off and transplanting outdoors.
Add a vibrant, compact touch to your outdoor spaces with 'Thumbelina' zinnia, an ideal solution for small spaces or lush floral arrangements.
