How to Grow:
Direct sow outdoors once the soil has reached at least 18°C. Work the soil to a depth of 30 cm, incorporating compost or well-rotted manure. Form mounds 15–20 cm high, spaced 120 cm apart. Plant 6–8 seeds 2 cm deep per mound, then thin to 3 or 4 plants per mound after germination (7–10 days). If space is limited, train plants to grow on a trellis. Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture and prevent fruit bitterness. Harvest with a sharp knife to preserve the plant.
