Description

Green sweet pepper ( Capsicum annuum) – proposed by the Seed Company WH Perron

The sweet green pepper is a productive variety distinguished by its large, deep green fruits with thick walls and exceptional quality. Perfect for salads, stir-fries or stuffed dishes, this pepper combines flavor, versatility and high yield. Its resistance and lack of purplish pigmentation make it a reliable choice for gardeners wanting a bountiful and tasty harvest.

Spread : 30 to 40 cm
Plant height : 60 to 80 cm
Quantity per packet : 30 seeds
Companion plants : Basil, carrot, marjoram, onion, oregano
Enemy plants : Kohlrabi, chives, fennel, okra, tomato

Cultivation method:

Sow sweet green pepper seeds indoors, 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, in a light, well-drained potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 68 to 75°F (20 to 24°C) to promote rapid germination. Prick out the seedlings into individual pots when they have two pairs of true leaves, then transplant them to the garden after the last frost, when nights are warm enough (54 to 55°F (12 to 13°C) or warmer).

Plant them 12 inches apart in rows 24 inches apart in a location with full sun. Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during flowering, and fertilize once a month with a high-potassium fertilizer to maximize fruit production.

Harvest peppers when they reach their optimum size and dark green colour to enjoy their crunchy texture and delicious flavour. This robust and productive variety is perfect for enriching your garden with tasty and versatile vegetables.
