Cultivation method:
Sow 'Pizzicato' poppy seeds in the garden in early spring or fall when temperatures are cool. Plant 1/8 inch (3 mm) deep in well-drained soil and choose a location in full sun. Since poppies do not like to be moved, sow them in the direction where they will stay.
Water lightly to encourage germination, but avoid saturating the soil. Once established, 'Pizzicato' poppy tolerates drought well and requires little maintenance. It will return faithfully each year, adding a burst of colour to your beds and borders.
The oriental poppy 'Pizzicato' is an ideal solution to beautify your garden with a hardy, lively plant, attractive to pollinators and capable of creating an impressive visual impact.
