Lavender angustifolia is a perennial plant prized for its fragrant silvery-grey foliage and attractive purple flowers that are around 6cm long. Perfect for borders, flowerbeds, planters, pots or rockeries, this lavender brings a calming Mediterranean touch to the garden from summer until the first frosts. Its compact and resistant plants thrive in well-drained, sunny soils, adding structure, colour and fragrance to your outdoor spaces.

Spread : 30 to 40 cm
Plant height : 40 to 60 cm
Quantity per packet : 100 seeds
Flowering : Summer until first frosts
Uses : Borders, flower beds, flower boxes, pots, rockeries

Cultivation method:

Sow lavender seeds indoors in early spring, about 10 to 12 weeks before the last frost. Use a light potting mix and place the seedlings in a sunny location. Maintain a constant temperature of 65 to 70 degrees F (18 to 21 degrees C) to encourage germination, which can take up to 14 to 21 days. Transplant the seedlings to the garden after the last frost, spacing them 12 to 16 inches (30 to 40 cm) apart.

Lavender angustifolia prefers well-drained soil and full sun exposure. Once established, it tolerates drought well and requires little maintenance. Lightly prune plants after flowering to encourage new growth and maintain their compact shape.

With its long flowering period, low maintenance and many uses, this lavender is ideal for beautifying your garden while attracting pollinators and diffusing a soothing scent.
