Cultivation method:

Sow 'Laurentien Thomson' rutabaga seeds directly into the ground from late May to early June, when the soil is well warmed. Plant them at a depth of 1 to 2 cm, spacing the seeds 5 to 10 cm apart in the row and the rows 45 cm apart. This variety prefers a light, well-drained soil rich in organic matter, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH.

Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, avoiding excess to prevent disease. Weed frequently to reduce weed competition, especially during the first few weeks. Roots develop fully with good sun exposure.

Harvest the roots when they reach their optimum size, after about 85 days, for a sweet and fragrant flesh. 'Laurentien Thomson' rutabagas can be stored for the medium to long term in a cool, dry place, perfect for enjoying their flavour throughout the winter.

With its fine taste and storage capacity, the 'Laurentien Thomson' rutabaga is an essential choice for enriching your vegetable garden with tasty and versatile root vegetables.
