Spread : 40 to 50 cm
Quantity per packet : 50 seeds
Companion plants : Corn, beans, squash, cucumber, nasturtium
Enemy plants : None specifically known
Cultivation method:
Sow the seeds directly in the open ground after all risk of frost has passed, when the soil is well warmed. Plant them at a depth of 2 to 3 cm, spacing each seed 30 to 40 cm apart for optimal development. Prefer a location in full sun and a rich, well-drained and slightly sandy soil.
Giant sunflowers require regular watering, especially during dry spells, to support their rapid growth. A stake can be used for larger plants to protect them from wind. When the flowers begin to fade, allow the seeds to dry on the plant before harvesting or leaving them to feed birds.
This impressive variety brings a vibrant, vertical dimension to your garden while creating a natural habitat for wildlife. It is perfect for both beginner and experienced gardeners, and is a fun activity for families.
