How to grow:
Start seedlings indoors in a soilless mix from early March. Sow seeds 6mm deep and maintain a constant temperature of 20°C for 20-25 days until germination. Once germinated, move the seedlings to a bright area with slightly cooler temperatures, then harden them off before transplanting to a sunny or partially shaded spot in the garden. Wallflower has a biennial life cycle: leaves emerge in the first year, while flowering occurs the following spring, before the plants reseed and die after the first frost.
Tip: Apply a light mulch to protect evergreen rosettes over winter to maximize their survival in zone 5.
