Once germinated, grow seedlings in bright light at temperatures of 60-70°F (16-21°C) to produce robust seedlings.
After hardening off, transplant plants outdoors in late May to early June in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Space plants 12" (30 cm) apart in rows 24" (60 cm) apart. Avoid high nitrogen fertilizers to encourage fruit production. Staking is recommended to support plants when fruit reaches full size.
