Cultivation method:
For early harvest or in short-season areas, start seedlings indoors 3 to 4 weeks before the last frost. Maintain a soil temperature of 75°F (24°C) for optimum germination in 5 to 10 days. Gradually acclimate seedlings to outdoor conditions before transplanting into the garden.
Outdoors, sow 6-8 seeds per hill at a depth of 12mm (1/2"), spacing hills 1.8-2.4m (6-8') apart. Once plants have emerged, thin to 3-4 plants per hill. Water regularly to support vine growth and fruit development.
