Cultivation method:
Sow directly into the ground in mid-spring, 3/4 to 1" (2 to 2.5 cm) deep, spacing seeds 1" (2.5 cm) apart in rows 12" (30 cm) apart. Once the plants have emerged, thin them to 5" (12.5 cm) to allow them to fully develop.
The roots are ready to harvest when they reach a diameter of 7.5 to 10 cm (3 to 4"). The young leaves can also be harvested for use in salads or cooked. This turnip thrives in well-drained soil and full sun.
