Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost in rich, well-drained potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 72 to 80°F (22 to 26°C) for germination in 7 to 14 days. Once seedlings are 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7 cm) tall, transplant them into individual pots.
Transplant seedlings outdoors after the last frost, into fertile, well-amended soil in full sun. Plant 20 to 24 inches apart and use a stake or cage to support vigorous plants. Water regularly and avoid wetting the foliage to prevent disease.
