Long Keeper Tomato ( Solanum lycopersicum ), offered by the seed company WH Perron
The Long Keeper tomato is the best variety for storage, allowing you to enjoy delicious juicy tomatoes almost all winter long. Its large, red-orange fruits, weighing an average of 175 to 185 g, are tasty and perfect for tomato lovers in all seasons.
This indeterminate variety produces fruit that should be harvested partially ripe before the first frost. For optimal preservation, it is recommended to wrap each tomato in newspaper and store them in a dry place. The tomatoes can thus be stored for between 6 and 12 weeks, offering an ideal solution to extend the tasting season.

Space plants about 20 inches apart for good air circulation. Water regularly, avoiding wetting the foliage to prevent disease. Due to their indeterminate growth habit, plants require stakes or cages to support their growth and continued production.
