Cultivation method:
Sow seeds directly into the ground in spring when the soil is warm, or start them indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Maintain a temperature of 65 to 70 degrees F (18 to 21 degrees C) for best germination. Sow seeds on the surface, as they require light to germinate. Make sure the soil is well-drained, as thyme does not tolerate excess moisture.
Once the seedlings are well established, space them 20 to 30 cm apart to allow good growth of the ground cover. Magic Carpet Thyme prefers sunny locations, although it can tolerate light shade.
