Thunbergia African Sunset Mix is a spectacular climbing plant that charms with its warm-hued flowers, ranging from brick red to creamy white. A dark eye in the center of each flower adds striking depth and contrast. Ideal for hanging baskets, planters or pots, this variety brings a touch of elegance and warmth to your outdoor spaces.

Latin name : Thunbergia alata
Maturity : 8-9 weeks
Germination : 6-12 days
Sowing temperature : 21-24°C
Height : 200 cm
Color : Assorted Colors
Formulation : Raw
Use : Containers, hanging, flower beds, climbing plants
Flowering : July to September

Cultivation method:

Sow seeds indoors about 6 to 8 weeks before the last spring frost. Use a well-drained potting soil and maintain a constant temperature of 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (21 to 24 degrees Celsius). Germination takes 6 to 12 days. Once seedlings have developed a few leaves, transplant them into containers or into the ground after all danger of frost has passed.

Thunbergia African Sunset prefers a sunny or lightly shaded location and requires support such as a trellis, fence or pergola to climb. Maintain regular watering to prevent the soil from drying out, and fertilize lightly to encourage abundant flowering.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continued blooms. If growing in hanging baskets or planters, check the soil frequently for moisture deficiency. This vigorous climbing variety is ideal for creating a striking vertical display or for dressing garden structures such as balustrades or arches.

A sunset in your garden!

With its warm and varied hues reminiscent of an African sunset, the Thunbergia African Sunset Mix transforms your outdoor spaces into a spectacle of calming and luminous colors. Perfect for lovers of climbing plants, it combines beauty and ease of maintenance to beautify your garden all summer long.
