Cultivation method:
Sow Bird of Paradise seeds in a light, well-drained and slightly moist potting soil. Maintain a constant temperature of around 23°C and be patient, as germination can take between 35 and 42 days. Place the pot in a bright location, avoiding drafts. Water moderately, allowing the substrate to dry out between waterings.
Once the plant is well established, transfer it to a larger pot in the spring if it starts to run out of space. Indoors, make sure it gets plenty of light, ideally near a sunny window. If growing outdoors, be sure to shelter it to prevent leaf burn.
Maintenance and advice:
Bird of Paradise is a tropical plant that loves humidity. In hot weather or during dry spells, mist its leaves or give them a light shower to replicate the natural conditions of its habitat. During the summer, water regularly, preferably in the evening to limit evaporation, but allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to avoid overwatering.
An exotic and timeless touch:
With its imposing stature and lush foliage, the Bird of Paradise transforms any space into a tropical oasis. Whether it's to beautify your interior or adorn your terrace, this perennial plant is a perfect choice to add an exotic and sophisticated touch to your decor. A timeless classic that attracts all eyes!
