The Gorria pepper , Espelette type, is an emblematic variety originating from Europe. Renowned for its spicy and well-balanced taste, it reaches a level of 4 on the Scoville scale, thus placing itself between the cayenne pepper and the chili pepper sweet. This pepper produces long, conical fruits, measuring between 9 and 15 cm, which turn bright red when ripe. The plant, which can reach up to 1 meter in height, offers a generous production, ideal for processing or fresh consumption.

Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost, in light, moist potting soil kept at a temperature of 75 to 80°F (24 to 26°C). Seeds will germinate in 7 to 14 days. Once seedlings are well established ( 5 to 6 leaves), transplant them into individual pots and gradually acclimatize them to the outdoors. Transplant the plants into well-drained soil rich in organic matter, after all risk of frost. Space the plants 45 to 60 cm, providing them with exposure to full sunlight.
