Cultivation method:
Sow directly into the ground as soon as the soil has warmed, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost. Plant seeds 1 cm deep and space rows 40 cm apart. When plants are 5 to 7 cm tall, thin to leave 30 to 40 cm between plants.
'Black Magic' kale prefers rich, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0 to 7.0). Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during hot periods. Harvest outer leaves as they reach sufficient size, allowing new leaves to develop for continued production.
