Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost, maintaining a temperature of 72 to 75°F for best germination in 7 to 14 days. Plant out seedlings after all risk of frost, spacing them 2 to 30 inches apart in well-drained, sunny soil. This coneflower blooms in its second year and blooms each summer from July to September. For an even more spectacular garden, combine it with other perennials such as rudbeckia or salvia.
