Cultivation method:
Sow Chinese lantern seeds indoors at 70-77°F (21-25°C), about 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Plant them 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) deep in well-drained potting soil. The seeds will germinate in 15-30 days. Transplant the seedlings into the ground once the risk of frost has passed, in a sunny or partially shaded location. Space the plants 2-3 feet (60-90 cm) apart to allow for optimal development.
