Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last expected frost, in well-drained potting soil at a temperature of 72 to 80°F (22 to 26°C). Germination usually occurs in 7 to 14 days. Once the seedlings are sufficiently developed (about 2 inches), transplant them into individual pots.
When all risk of frost has passed, plant them in the ground or in large containers, in rich, well-drained soil, in full sun. Space the plants about 60 cm apart to promote good aeration and optimal growth. Water regularly, without excess, to avoid water stress.
Harvest fruits when they are bright red to take full advantage of their sweet flavor. Frequent harvesting will encourage continued production throughout the season.
