Dill Aneto Herbe is a versatile annual plant and essential for any herb garden. Known for its delicate foliage and aromatic seeds, this plant is widely used in cooking to flavor vinegars, pickles and various dishes. In addition to its culinary qualities, dill is also an excellent attractant for beneficial insects such as butterflies, parasitic wasps and hoverflies, contributing to a healthy ecosystem in your garden.

Days to maturity : 40 to 60 days
Plant Type : Annual
Plant height : 45 to 60 cm (18 to 24 inches)
Spacing between plants : 25 to 35 cm (10 to 14 inches)
Exposure : Full sun to partial shade
Sowing : Indoor or direct sowing

Cultivation method:

Sow seeds directly outdoors from late May, then every two weeks until late June to extend the harvest period. You can also start seeds indoors before the last frost. Sow 1/4 to 1/2" (0.5 to 1 cm) deep in well-drained soil, then thin to space plants 10 to 14" (25 to 35 cm) apart.

Dill is an easy to grow and undemanding plant. Provide regular watering, especially during dry spells. Apply an all-purpose fertilizer sparingly to avoid altering the production of essential oils responsible for its aroma and flavor. The leaves can be harvested as soon as the plant is well developed, while the seeds are ready to harvest once they begin to turn brown on the umbels.

An aromatic and ecological herb!

Aneto Herbe dill is not only a kitchen staple, but also a garden ally. Attracting a wide variety of pollinators and beneficial insects, it promotes a balanced and thriving ecosystem. This easy-to-grow plant will enrich your dishes while beautifying your vegetable garden with its delicate foliage and light flowers.
