Cultivation method:
Sow directly outdoors after the risk of frost has passed. Press the seeds lightly into the soil, but do not cover them, as they require light to germinate. Maintain a temperature of 20°C (70°F) for 5 to 10 days to encourage rapid germination.
For even earlier blooms, start seedlings indoors in early April. Grow seedlings under lights, then harden them off before transplanting to the garden in late May, spacing plants 4 inches (10 cm) apart.
