Cultivation method:
Sow seeds from June to mid-July, replanting every two weeks for extended harvest as long as temperatures remain cool. Plant seeds 1/8" (3mm) deep and 1" (2.5cm) apart in rows 16" (40cm) apart. Once the plants have emerged, thin them to 12" (30cm) apart to allow them to fully develop.
For a fall crop, you can sow between mid and late August. Water regularly and evenly to avoid water stress, which can lead to premature bolting and increased bitterness of the leaves. This chicory thrives in well-drained soils exposed to full sun.
