Cultivation method:
Carrots grow best in deep, loose, well-cultivated soil. For an even seeding, mix the seeds with a little sand before sowing. Once the soil temperature is above 45°F (7.5°C), sow the seeds 1/4 to 1/2 inch (7 to 15 mm) deep, spacing them 18 to 24 inches (45 to 60 cm) apart. Sow every 5 days for several weeks to spread out the harvest. Keep the soil evenly moist during germination, which takes about two weeks, and avoid crusting the surface to maximize seed emergence.
Thin out young shoots at the initial stage to 2 inches (5 cm) apart. Maintain regular watering, weed carefully, and avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers to prevent root deformities. Harvest carrots as soon as they have reached a good color and desired size.
