Alyssum Carpet Colour Mix is a selection of delicate yet hardy annuals, ideal for borders or as ground cover. Forming attractive mounds 10-12cm (4-5in) high and spreading to 30cm (12in), it is also an excellent forage plant for bees and other pollinators.

Cultivation method:
For direct sowing, wait until all danger of frost has passed, then sow seeds directly outdoors. Plants will flower within 6 to 8 weeks of sowing. To transplant, start seeds indoors in early April. Lightly press seeds into the potting soil without covering them, as they need light to germinate. Maintain a temperature of 20°C (70°F) to promote rapid germination in 5 to 10 days.
Transplant hardened-off plants outdoors in late May, spacing them 10 to 14 inches (25 to 35 cm) apart in well-drained soil. These plants thrive in sunny locations but will tolerate partial shade, especially in areas with hot summers. Prune plants lightly after the first bloom to encourage a second bloom later in the season.
