Cultivation method:
To improve germination, chill seeds for 10 days before sowing. Sow directly in the garden in mid-May in well-drained soil in full sun, leaving seeds on the surface of the soil. Maintain consistent moisture during the germination period, which can exceed 20 days. Once seedlings are 3 inches tall, space them 8 inches apart.
For an earlier start, start seeds indoors in a soilless mix in mid-April. After cooling, sow them on the surface, keep them evenly watered, and transplant them after the last frost.
