Cultivation method:

Beans prefer a light, organic, well-drained soil with a pH around 6.5. Sow directly after the soil has reached at least 60°F (16°C). Plant seeds 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep and space them 3 inches (8 cm) apart in rows 18 to 28 inches (45 to 70 cm) apart. For a continuous harvest, sow every 10 days until mid-July. Maintain even watering, especially during flowering and pod formation. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers to promote good pod production, and do not handle plants when wet to minimize disease risk. Germination takes about 8 days.
