Cultivation method
Sugar snap peas 'Sugaree' are easy to grow in full sun or partial shade , in light, well-drained soil enriched with compost . They are sown directly in the ground as soon as the soil can be worked in spring , 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost , as they tolerate cold well. Sow seeds 2-3 cm deep , in rows 40 cm apart, and install a sturdy trellis to support their vertical growth. Regular watering is essential, especially during the flowering and pod formation period. Harvest begins in about 65 days , when the pods are well formed, still tender and crisp . To prolong production, pick them frequently.
