Spinach 'Verdil' is a hardy and very productive variety, offering dark green, thick and tender leaves , ideal for salads, stir-fries and soups . Thanks to its good resistance to cold and bolting , it is perfect for spring and autumn crops . Its rapid and vigorous growth allows repeated harvests throughout the season.

Cultivation method

Spinach 'Verdil' is grown in full sun or partial shade , in rich, well-drained and fresh soil. Sow directly in the ground from the beginning of spring or at the end of summer for an autumn harvest. Plant the seeds 1 cm deep , in rows spaced 20 to 30 cm apart, then thin to 10 cm to allow good leaf development. Regular watering , especially in hot weather, prevents bolting and keeps the foliage tender. Harvest the outer leaves by cutting them as you go, thus promoting prolonged production.
