Carrot 'Dolciva' (Daucus carota) – Offered by Ferme Tourne-Sol
The 'Dolciva' carrot is a variety renowned for its exceptional sweetness and tender, crunchy texture . It produces long, bright orange roots , perfect for fresh consumption, juices, purees and winter storage . Very hardy and cold tolerant , it is ideal for autumn harvests and can be left in the ground until the first frosts for an even sweeter flavour.

✅ Sow directly in open ground as soon as the soil reaches 7°C , in rows spaced 20 cm apart.
✅ Sow shallowly (5 mm) and keep the soil moist until germination.
✅ Thin out gradually to 5-7 cm to give the roots enough space to develop properly.
Recipe idea: 'Dolciva' carrot soup with ginger and coconut milk
• 6 carrots 'Dolciva'
• 1 chopped onion
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 piece of grated ginger (2 cm)
• 400 ml of coconut milk
• 500 ml of vegetable broth
• Salt and pepper to taste
- Brown the onion and ginger in olive oil.
- Add the peeled and sliced carrots, then the broth.
- Let simmer for 25 minutes , until the carrots are tender.
- Mix with coconut milk, salt and pepper before serving.
