Spread : Upright habit with well-developed stems
Plant height : Medium, suitable for row or clump crops
Quantity per pack : 50 seeds
Companion plants : Carrots, radishes, beans, cabbages
Enemy plants : Spinach, beets (competition for nutrients)

Cultivation method:

Swiss chard 'Pink Passion' prefers well-drained soils rich in organic matter. It thrives in full sun or partial shade and is very cold-resistant, being able to withstand temperatures down to -15°C.

  • Direct sowing : Sow the seeds in rows at a depth of 1.5 cm, spacing the plants 30 cm apart.
  • Care : Keep soil moist, especially during germination (7-14 days). Light fertilization with compost promotes vigorous growth.
  • Harvesting : Pick leaves and stems as needed, making sure to leave a few leaves on each plant to encourage continued regrowth.

Tasty tip:

Add the thinly sliced stems to stir-fries or soups to add color and a slight sweetness. The leaves are delicious in salads or simply steamed with a drizzle of olive oil and lemon.
