The Dwarf Sunflower 'Sunspot' is a miniature wonder with its large 25cm diameter flowers held on compact stems just 60cm high. The bright yellow petals, combined with a deep golden yellow centre, make it a perfect addition to containers and small spaces.

Easy to grow, Dwarf Sunflower 'Sunspot' prefers a full sun location and well-drained soil. Sow directly outdoors in late May, 6-12mm deep, spacing seeds 7.5-10cm apart. Once seedlings have emerged, thin or transplant to space plants 30-45cm apart.
For an early start, start seeds 2 to 3 weeks before the last frost indoors in peat pots or Jiffy 7's at 70°F. Plant hardened-off seedlings outdoors after danger of frost has passed. Keep plants evenly watered and fertilize twice during the season with a 15-5-15 granular fertilizer or equivalent. Germination takes 5 to 10 days.
