Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors 3 to 4 weeks before the last spring frost, or directly in the garden when temperatures are 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (18 to 27 degrees Celsius). Plant each seed 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep, spacing mounds 5 to 6 feet (1.5 to 2 m) apart. Thin the seedlings to 2 to 3 vigorous plants per mound.
Choose fertile, well-drained soil that is enriched with organic matter and provides full sun exposure. Water thoroughly to maintain moisture, and add mulch after planting to protect the soil. In cool regions, use cloches or tunnels to protect young plants.
Harvest the fruits when they are 10 cm long, leaving a short tail to preserve their freshness. Handle them with care to avoid injury. Regular harvesting encourages the production of new fruits. The flowers, delicate and edible, also add a special touch to your dishes.
A versatile and tasty choice that will brighten up your garden and kitchen!
