Cultivation method:
Scarlet Runner beans require vertical structures such as trellises, open fences or well-anchored bamboo teepees to climb. Sow directly into warmed soil at least 60°F (16°C), 1 inch deep and 3 inches apart, with rows 18 to 28 inches apart. Maintain regular watering, especially during drought, to support growth and flowering. To prolong production, harvest mature pods regularly. Germination occurs in about 10 days.
