Soapwort 'Saponaria' ( Saponaria ocymoides ), offered by Semences OSC.

Bring a carpet of delicate pink flowers with soapwort 'Saponaria'. This semi-evergreen perennial produces a profusion of small, 1cm-diameter pink flowers, ideal for rockeries, walls and sunny areas. Flowering from June to July, this low-growing plant reaches a height of 10-15cm and can rebloom in autumn after a light pruning. Hardy to zone 3, it is perfect for an easy-care garden that is resistant to deer and rabbits.

Plant height : 10-15 cm
Quantity per pack : Approximately 110 seeds (440 seeds/gram)
Companion plants : Aubrieta, bellflowers, alyssum
Enemy plants : None known
Suggested Uses : Alpine gardens, rock gardens, containers, animal-resistant borders
Plant Type : Perennial

Cultivation method:

Start seeds indoors in March in a soilless mix, ideally in peat pots to minimise stress when pricking out. Transplant directly into the garden in late May. For an easier alternative, sow directly outdoors in May or autumn. Lightly cover the seeds with a sieve of fine soil and keep the soil moist until germination.

Space seedlings to cover approximately 2m² with 5g of seed. Once established, these hardy plants thrive in full sun with little maintenance, providing extensive flowering and unique visual appeal to your garden.
