Growing Tips:

Sow seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last expected frost. Maintain a temperature of 68 to 72°F (20 to 22°C) for rapid germination in 4 to 7 days. Transplant seedlings into open ground or containers as soon as the soil has warmed up and all risk of frost has passed.

This salvia prefers well-drained soil and a location in full sun for best blooms. Drought tolerant, it requires little watering once established, but be sure to water lightly during prolonged periods of heat. Remove spent flowers to stimulate continuous flowering throughout the season.
