This popular variety offers medium green, long, deeply lobed leaves with a tender texture and sweet taste. Salad Bowl lettuce is resistant to bolting and relatively heat tolerant, making it ideal for spring and late summer plantings. Introduced in 1952, it is a garden classic.

Cultivation method:
Sow directly into well-drained, enriched soil as soon as the soil can be worked in spring. Sow seeds 3mm deep in rows 45cm apart. Maintain consistent moisture to encourage uniform growth. Harvest by pulling the entire plant or cutting the leaves from the main stem 2.5cm above the base to encourage regrowth. Germination in 7-10 days.
