Water regularly to keep the soil moist, but not too much. Mulch the base of the plants to conserve moisture and reduce weeds. Harvest pumpkins when their skin is hard and well colored, usually after 95 days, before the first frost. Store them in a cool, dry place to prolong their shelf life.
