Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost, 0.5 to 1 cm deep in moist potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 24 to 28 °C for germination in 7 to 14 days. Transplant seedlings outdoors after all danger of frost, spacing them 30 to 45 cm apart, in rich, well-drained soil and in full sun.
Water regularly to keep the soil slightly moist and mulch around the plants to conserve moisture. Harvest the fruits when they reach the desired color, depending on their stage of ripeness: purple for a bright flavor or red for a more intense taste. These peppers can be eaten fresh, dried or made into chili powder.
