Ground cherries are small golden fruits enclosed in a delicate beige lantern , offering a sweet and slightly tart flavor , reminiscent of a mixture of tomato, pineapple and citrus . Very easy to grow, they produce abundantly throughout the summer and are harvested when they fall naturally to the ground .

Appreciated for their excellent conservation , they remain tasty for several weeks after harvest. Delicious fresh, in jams, desserts or as a garnish , they add an original and exotic touch to many preparations.
