Also called mountain spinach, orach is an open-pollinated plant and cousin of amaranth. It produces vibrant magenta leaves that add color and nutrition to salads, smoothies, and stir-fries.

Adapted to a wide range of climates, this plant is easy to grow and offers a quick harvest, with young leaves ready in 28 days and full maturity in 40 to 50 days. Seeds are sourced from a small organic farm in British Columbia, ensuring exceptional quality.

Cultivation method:

Direct sow seeds 1/4 inch deep, spacing them 1 to 2 inches apart. Once seedlings develop, thin them to 6 to 10 inches apart to allow them to fully develop. To prolong the production of tender leaves, pinch off flower buds before they open. Magenta orach thrives in full sun and requires optimum germination temperatures between 50 and 68 degrees F.
