Cultivation method:
Sow directly into the ground as soon as the soil can be worked, or start indoors for an early start. Plant in loose, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Space plants 8 to 10 inches apart in the row and rows 12 to 16 inches apart for good air circulation and disease prevention. Mini romaine lettuces prefer full sun to partial shade and regular watering to maintain moisture. Harvest lettuces when heads are well formed, early in the morning, for optimum freshness.
