The long, smooth, tender roots of this parsnip grow up to 12 inches long and 3 inches wide at the shoulder. Known for their sweet taste, these parsnips need time and cold to develop their flavor. The longer you wait in the fall, the better their flavor. A perfect variety for root vegetable lovers.

Cultivation method :
Sow directly outdoors at a depth of 6-12mm, spacing seeds 2.5cm apart in rows 45-60cm apart. Keep the soil evenly moist during germination, which can take up to 3 weeks. Once the plants are 5-7.5cm tall, thin to 7.5cm spacing. Prefer deep, loose soil, free of stones, to avoid forked roots. Harvest in the autumn after the cold weather has set in for optimum flavour. One packet will sow about 3m of row.
