Fragrant flower seeds
Proposed by Semencier OSC, the heliotrope 'Marine' is an annual heirloom plant that captivates with its large clusters of blue-violet flowers with a sweet vanilla scent.
These flowers appear in early summer, on bushy plants reaching 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm) in height. Preferring full sun or partial light, heliotrope thrives in moist, well-drained soils. Although heat tolerant, it does not survive frost. Ideal for borders, containers or window boxes, it attracts butterflies and pollinators while being deer resistant. Important note: All parts of this plant are poisonous.
Spread:
Plant height: 30 to 45 cm
Quantity per pack: Approx 100 seeds/pkt (1,800 seeds/gram)
Companion plants: Morning glories, lime green foliage
Enemy plants: Plants sensitive to heliotrope toxicity
How to grow:
Start seeds indoors in a soilless mix 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. Cover seeds lightly, moisten with a fine mist and keep at 70°F (21°C) for germination in 7-14 days. Grow under light at 60-65°F (16-18°C) and, after hardening off, transplant outdoors, spacing 12 inches (30 cm) apart.
Let yourself be charmed by this ornamental plant with its intoxicating fragrance and timeless beauty!
