Cultivation method
Snow Crown can be sown directly into the ground when temperatures exceed 23°C , or started indoors 4 to 6 weeks before planting for an early harvest.
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil rich in organic matter , spacing plants 45 to 85 cm apart. Regular watering is necessary to prevent bolting and to obtain firm heads .
For a natural bleached effect, tie the leaves around the head when it begins to form, which protects its pure white color.
Harvesting and conservation
Harvest when the curd is tight , before the head comes off. Cool immediately after harvesting to preserve its texture and taste.
Fresh cauliflower will keep for up to 1 to 2 weeks in the refrigerator at 0°C and 95% humidity .
