Tomato 'Lovely Lush' (Solanum lycopersicum), Offered by Les Gardiens - Ferme Alternative

The 'Lovely Lush' tomato is a unique variety that is both visually stunning and incredibly tasty. Developed by Brad Gates in California, this multi-colored beefsteak tomato features pink, deep purple, and green stripes that turn gold when ripe. Its dense, juicy red flesh offers a rich, balanced flavor that is perfect for salads and gourmet sandwiches.

Indeterminate in growth, 'Lovely Lush' produces 120-200g fruits throughout the season. It matures mid-season, about 75-85 days after sowing, and stores well after harvest.

Growth Type : Indeterminate
Tomato Type : Beefsteak
Plant height : 1.5 to 2 meters
Spread : Medium to wide
Quantity per sachet : ISOLATED - 15 to 20 seeds
Fruit color : Pink, dark purple with green stripes turning gold
Shape : Mini beefsteak, rounded shoulders
Maturation : Mid-season (75 to 85 days)

Cultivation method:

Sow seeds 8-10 weeks before the last frost, at an ideal temperature of 22-28°C. Transplant into the ground or pots once the risk of frost has passed, spacing them about 60cm apart.

Rich, well-drained soil and full sun exposure are essential for optimum growth. Staking is recommended to support the fruit load and prevent branches from breaking under their weight.

Harvest begins after 75 to 85 days and can continue until autumn if growing conditions are favourable.

Pot culture : Possible with a container of at least 20 liters and good support.

Use and special features:

With its juicy flesh and firm texture, 'Lovely Lush' is perfect for colorful salads, gourmet sandwiches and even homemade sauces. Its balanced flavor, between sweetness and slight acidity, makes it a popular variety for lovers of quality tomatoes.
