Cultivation method:

Sow seeds 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost , at an ideal temperature of 22 to 28°C . When the seedlings reach 10 to 15 cm , transplant them into the ground or into a pot after the last frost, spacing them 60 cm apart.

Plant them in rich, well-drained soil , with full sun exposure to ensure optimum production. Sturdy staking is essential to support the large, fleshy fruits and prevent the branches from breaking under their weight.

The first fruits ripen after 75 to 85 days , with sustained production until autumn .

Pot culture: possible with good support

Thanks to its vigorous growth , the 'Crushed Heart' tomato can be grown in a large pot (minimum 20 litres) with a sturdy stake and sunny exposure to ensure optimum production.
