Tomato 'Brandywine Apricot' (Solanum lycopersicum), Offered by Les Gardiens - Ferme Alternative

The 'Brandywine Apricot' tomato is an old variety prized for its large, fleshy fruits with a melting pulp and a balanced, fruity flavor . With its slightly apricot-flavored golden skin , it brightens up the vegetable garden while offering a bright, sweet taste, perfectly balanced between sweetness and acidity.

Very productive and early , it is one of the earliest Brandywine varieties , with rapid maturation in 60 to 70 days . It is also distinguished by its potato-type foliage , characteristic of Brandywine lines.

Plant them in rich, well-drained soil , with full sun exposure to ensure maximum production. Due to the weight of the fruit , solid staking is essential to prevent the branches from bending under their load.

The first fruits ripen quickly in 60 to 70 days , providing an abundant and prolonged harvest .

Pot culture: possible with good support

Thanks to its vigorous growth , the 'Brandywine Apricot' tomato can be grown in a large pot (minimum 20 litres) with a sturdy stake and a sunny exposure to ensure optimum production.

Use and special features:

With its tender, juicy flesh and few seeds , this tomato is perfect for colorful salads, delicate sauces and fresh dishes . Its unique appearance and sweet, fruity flavor make it a very popular variety among lovers of old tomatoes .
